Environmental impact of printed and electronic teaching aids

This study was initiated in order to clarify the environmental impact of different types of teaching aids that are easily available today. The study aims to give a screen comparison of the environmental impact in relation to global warming potential of printed versus electronic teaching aids. A life cycle perspective is used, analysing the different life cycle steps of media products. The study focuses on the emissions of fossil carbon dioxide which is the only climate change gas included in the analysis.
